As part of our vendor management program,Guardian thoroughly prescreens all prospective vendors based on a rigorous set of product quality, dependability, periodic on-site visits, and service level standards. In addition, a Dun & Bradstreet report - providing an additional level of scrutiny that further qualifies the vendor as a potential sourcing partner.

Once a new supplier is added to the Guardian “approved vendor list,” we closely monitor all activity during a six-month probationary period where they are considered to be in “caution” status. Continual monitoring and grading of each supplier is conducted throughout their probationary period and tracked thereafter through our highly sophisticated trading system, based upon the Guardian  supplier scorecard that includes product quality history, performance and service fulfillment, stock supply/demand, and order history information.
